Welcome

Since 1985, when the Luxembourg Government acquired the Robert Schuman House, it has served as a place of memory and also a centre for history and academic research.

The aim has always been to give the site a “European” dimension and role. This task now falls to the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) at the University of Luxembourg, which combines analysis and research on European memory and historiography with new ways of approaching and writing European history that are rooted in its areas of expertise, especially public history and digital history.

Robert Schuman House is a site of memory but also a place that breathes new life into history. We are delighted to welcome you to our website, and look forward to perhaps seeing you soon at the Robert Schuman House.
