The Europe Direct at the University of Luxembourg (ED-UNILU), the City of Esch-sur-Alzette, the European Parliament and their partners including the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History are pleased to invite you to the public history event entitled “Robert Schuman and his Declaration for Europe (May 9, 1950): History, current events and perspectives”, which will be held on May 4, 2023, from 6:30 to 8:00 at the Esch-sur-Alzette City Hall.
This European evening will be articulated around the archival multimedia exhibition dedicated to Robert Schuman’s achievements and his Declaration of May 9, 1950, set up by ED-UNILU and the European Parliament Research Service (EPRS), and a debate on the current challenges which our continent is facing. The Schuman exhibition will remain open to the public until July 7, 2023, and will provide the framework for a wide range of other workshops and roundtable debates for different categories of audience.
